Recipe for making corn and onion pakoras

  • Add boiled corn, chopped onion, ginger-garlic paste, green chillies and all dry spices in a large bowl. Now add gram flour and rice flour and mix well. If the mixture looks very dry then you can add 1-2 teaspoons of water. The mixture should be thick to make pakoras.

  • Heat oil in a pan. When the oil is well heated, add small parts of the prepared mixture and fry it on medium flame till it turns golden. Flip the pakoras from both sides and cook well so that they become crisp in the inside. When the pakoras become golden and crisp, take them out of the oil and place them on a tissue paper in a plate so that extra oil is removed.

  • Now, serve hot corn and onion pakoras with tea with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
