The plate made of drumstick leaves contains a good amount of many nutrients including protein, calcium and iron. The Moringa Thalipith is served with coconut chutney or jaggery. To make this dish, you will need one and a half cup fresh drumstick leaves, one and a half cup ragi flour, a small spoon oil, a small spoon mustard, a small spoon washed urad dal, a small spoon gram dal, 2 finely chopped green chillies, a big spoon white sesame, salt, a chopped red chilli and a finely chopped onion.

Follow this procedure

First prepare the tempering. For this, heat the sesame oil in a non stick pan and fry the rye, urad dal and gram dal in it till the light golden and then turn off the gas. After this, take out ragi flour, green chillies, white sesame, salt, red chili, finely chopped onion and fresh drumstick leaves in a large bowl. Now you have to mix the tempering well in this bowl.

Now you have to knead the flour well with about half cup lukewarm water. The dough should not be too wet and should be slightly soft. Offer non stick tava on the gas. You have to wet your hands and then give a thin tikki shape while spreading a part of the dough on the pan. Now make small holes in this tikki. You have to apply some oil around this tikki and above.

Serve this dish rich in nutrients

You have to cook this thin tikki on the medium flame for about 2 minutes. Now you have to bake Tikki from the other side too. You can also make the rest of the thalipeeth by following this procedure. You can serve the Moringa Thalipith with coconut chutney and jaggery. This plate made of drumstick leaves can also be served with curd or pickle.
